Founded in 1887, this lake town is a traveler’s Shangri la for all adventures from land, lake or sky. Its fiercely independent downtown boasts an inspired array of culinary and retail treats and is completely walkable. Marble Falls’ surroundings are punctuated by multiple state parks and natural wonders as well as dozens of local wineries. It’s worth every trip.
